Simple Scandi Inspired Boys Room

The time has come to separate our shared boys room. If you’ve been following for awhile, all our boys shared a room (three twin beds in a row), and now that our lower level is finished, they are all getting their own rooms! (Insert mixed emotions). Check out the transformation of this room over time, and then the reveal of our youngest’s new + fun very simple Scandinavian inspired room.

I hope this inspires you in 3 ways: 1. If your children are sharing a room, it’s totally OKAY and please embrace this blessing of a time they are having together. 2. It’s always fun to see kids room designs. Maybe you can incorporate a little of Crew’s room into your own home. 3. Live Simply. You won’t see a ton of toys, because, they do not exist.

As you can see, we started out SUPER SIMPLE. As time went on, we added a rug, changed bedding, etc.

Don’t feel like you need to create spaces in one day, home takes time.

Wall Decals are from Urban Walls. Removable and super easy to apply. These are called SW lines. Backpack is Crate + Barrel Kids. I used a vintage wooden tool caddy for hot wheels storage, which is from @found.mn on instagram.

I left two beds in this room, because it’s always nice to have an extra bed…and a sleepover with a brother! :) Shop this photo

Umm…have you heard of Maileg Mice? Seriously, the cutest matchbox mice ever. Created by a Danish woman, the entire Maileg site will have you swooning, and also solve your next kid gift. My son is 5, and still finds these mice fascinating! He tucks in his mice each night.

Looking for the books we love? Books Here

I swapped out the Sputnik light for this Ikea Mojna Pendant, and I LOVE it. White lighting is so dreamy.

I added some paints and paint brushes, because it’s one of Crew’s favorite things to do. The flash cards are actually kids bible verse cards. They no longer have them, but you can check out their current ones HERE

That’s it y’all. Long Live Boyhood
