Call.It.Christian x Room and Board

Modern, handcrafted American made furniture, yes please!

One of my favorite Minnesota partners, project showcase, links, and heart behind working with Room and Board.

It’s no secret that I LOVE Room&Board. It’s been a bit of a dream to showcase some of their quality home goods and textiles in our home.

Craftsmanship. Design. Clean lines. Love of Pets. Art Appreciation. Just a few qualities of theirs I value.

Let’s take a peek at some of the projects, shall we…

Modern Home, Room and Board, Room&Board, Pren Table, Cambria, Dining Room Design, Home Inspiration, Organic Modern Home

Let me Introduce you to the Pren Table + Soren Chairs

What I love: This is such a timeless piece with the cleanest lines, and simplicity. The table top is Cambria (another Minnesota company), so this was really a dream team collab.

This is a fully custom table. I chose white oak for the wood species and Cambria’s Brittanicca gold warm quartz. I love the natural cool elements of the stone with the warm veining atop the wood base.

I chose the Soren Wood Chairs in Walnut to compliment the white oak. I’m not a huge fan of matchy, matchy. Walnut + White Oak are mixed all throughout my home. YES, you can mix woods! I selected all the same chairs because they are wipeable. With 3 boys and multiple pets, less the fabric and stains is a win.

On the pet note: Room&Board LOVES their pets. You’ll often see our animals, and other customer’s animals enjoying all the pieces too.

Lastly: Look at that third photo above. See the signature? That’s the man who built this artisan crafted table. Wow!

Let’s move to my office: I’ve shifted these items around a ton, so you will see them in different places all the time. They are so practical and timeless. No matter what the trends are: Simplicity is always on point.

This whole design was inspired by that Nordic style chair, which I found for free in a barn. It had hay sticking out of the cushions, but I saw the bones and it came home with me to be stripped down and reupholstered. Now let’s check out how these items have shifted around my home, and look fabulous everywhere!

Let’s chat about white lighting! White anything, as you know has my heart, BUT there is something really special about white lighting. It gives such a sleek, minimal, airy vibe. I am here for it. Originally, we had black pendants above our kitchen island. They served us well, but as I grew in my style I wasn’t loving the shape anymore. I wanted something a little shorter, wider, and white! I couldn’t take my eyes off the Bray Pendants. We swapped them out, and the rest is history!

Amazing what a simple lighting swap can do, right? I’d encourage you try this if your room just needs a little change or is feeling a bit heavy.

Thank you for sticking around to the end. Since you did- I’d love to share with you that there is also a Room&Board outlet store in Golden Valley, MN. It’s open on the weekends with limited hours. Be sure to get there early because there is a line outside of excited shoppers awaiting a deal! I’d also suggest bringing a friend. Everything with a friend is more fun, but also, when you find that special item…your friend can sit down to claim it! The workers are great about coming around and helping with the checkout process, but when you’re sitting on that perfect sofa and then see a chair across the aisle you can tell your BFF to quick, RUN, so you can take both home.

All my best. -Anna
