Natural Aging
A slow living approach to beauty and strength from the inside out
I’ve used Botox in the past—just a handful of times. The last time was about two years ago, and it was the experience that changed everything for me. I felt off in a way that I couldn’t ignore—strange neurological symptoms that left me feeling sick and unsettled for days. It scared me enough to pause and really re-evaluate.
Botox, while widely used, is actually one of the most toxic substances in the world. That fact, paired with how I personally reacted, was the push I needed to begin shifting toward more natural, supportive alternatives. I didn’t want to numb or mask—I wanted to nourish and strengthen.
Since then, I’ve been focused on choosing products and daily rhythms that align with how I want to age: naturally, intentionally, and in tune with my body’s needs.
Now, I use the YUKA app to scan products in stores. If it gets a green light, I’ll try it. Everything I’m sharing here is tried and true—these are my actual daily choices.
1. Things I Grab at Target
Target has a few essentials that make it into my cart every time—and yes, they pass the clean test.
California Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner – Light, clean, no build-up.
My eyebrow pencil – I’ve used it for years and never found anything better. I get compliments on my brows all the time, and this pencil is the reason why.
Black washcloths – I use these to avoid the makeup stains that come with white or light ones.
My favorite day hair oil – Super light, all-natural, no fillers. It adds shine and controls frizz without weighing my hair down.
This brightening toner. My alternative is: pure witch hazel
2. Primally Pure – Skincare That Supports Aging Gracefully
Nearly all of my skincare comes from Primally Pure, and I love the simplicity of it. I use oil cleansing rather than foaming cleansers to retain my skin’s natural oils, which is essential for aging well and keeping skin balanced.
My favorites:
Cleansing Oil – Gentle and grounding.
Plumping Day Cream – Antioxidant Night Cream
Lip Oil – I love that it’s non-sticky. I wear it alone or over lipstick.
Gua Sha – This is a nightly ritual for me. I use it in combination with my red light therapy to stimulate lymphatic flow and firm the skin.
Body Butter- say no more!

3. Toups & Co. – Clean Makeup That Feels Like Skin
Most of my makeup is from Toups & Co. and their products work beautifully. They’re made with clean, nourishing ingredients and give that effortless, natural glow.
My everyday go to’s
Liquid Foundation – Wears like skin. I use this daily.
Powder Foundation – I gently brush this on for a matte finish.
Bronzer, Cheek Stick, and Highlighter – I use this trio to bring life and warmth to my face.
Cheek Stick – I always match my cheek and lip color for a more cohesive look. A favorite French trick is to use your lipstick on both lips and cheeks, blending with fingers for a soft, natural flush.

4. Just Ingredients – Whole-Body Support
I absolutely love Just Ingredients—this brand supports us from the inside out.
Protein Powder – Tastes amazing and clean. Even my kids like it.
Collagen – I add it to my water each morning. No clumps, no weird taste, just shake and go.
Tooth Powder – We don’t use conventional toothpaste. After speaking with a holistic dentist in Texas, I learned that if you don’t use fluoride, you need to use something else in its place to remineralize and protect enamel. This tooth powder contains hydroxyapatite, a natural fluoride alternative that helps strengthen and protect teeth.
These are some of the easiest and most impactful swaps we’ve made in our home.
5. Red Light Therapy – A Simple, Powerful Ritual
Every night, I use my LumeBOX red light therapy box for 10 minutes on my face while I do Gua Sha. Red light therapy is a powerful tool to support collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve skin tone over time. It’s also incredibly helpful for soothing sore muscles—especially if you’re lifting weights or doing any resistance training.
This has become one of my favorite parts of my evening routine. It’s quiet, intentional, and supportive of both skin and recovery.

Why Strength and Protein Matter as We Age
After 30, we begin to lose muscle mass and collagen naturally—which is why it’s so important to stay consistent with both movement and protein intake.
Protein helps maintain muscle, balance blood sugar, and support hormone health. (My goal is 1 gram per pound of body weight).
Collagen replenishes what the body stops producing over time—supporting skin, joints, nails, and more.
Lifting weights (or even bodyweight training) builds and protects lean muscle, improves bone health, and strengthens the body as a whole.
Final Thoughts
Natural aging is not about giving up (NO WAYYYY)—it’s about returning to what supports us most. For me, that means clean ingredients, trusted brands, nourishment inside and out, and movement that keeps me strong.
I’m not trying to freeze time—I’m learning to trust my body and care for it well, in every season.
